The listing on this page details queries filed by citizens, requesting information from UIDAI and other government organisations about the activities surrounding the issuance and usage of the alleged Unique Identity (UID) number.

The replies speak for themselves: initial stone-walling in nearly every case, attempts to deflect queries to other parties, incomplete and in some case misleading replies, and delayed replies to nearly every single query. It speaks volumes about the claims of transparency and openness claimed by UIDAI evangelists.

This site does not intend to influence readers with unsolicited opinions about these matters. Our effort is to bring matters into the open for public debate and a clearer understanding of the possible motives and intents of the UIDAI programme.
